  • The Last Two Months of Go! Go! Go!

We've spent lots of time running from Natalie's softball games...

Her coaches were the nicest bunch of guys ever and she loved being a "Firecracker" and playing softball.  Natalie
was one of the best hitters on her team!

And Eric's (and Rob's) Lacrosse games...

Go Colleyville Panthers!!!!  Rob created the Colleyville Lacrosse Youth Associations
and coached the very first youth team.  It was a blast and Eric loves lacrosse now!!!

    and Tyler's baseball games....

This just might be Ty's sport!  He had a blast on his Detroit Tigers T-ball team.  His Coach Todd is Tyler's
    best friend, Evan's dad.

Natalie and I went to Medieval Times for a field trip in May.

And Field Day was soooo much fun!

The kids had lots of end of the year activities including a Mother's Day Program with Tyler, a Third Grade end of the Year Awards Program with Natalie and Eric's Graduation from 5th Grade
and lots of fun with his class at Main Event and then a swim party at Keller Point.  Does it ever end!

A week before school got out, we took off for Cancun Mexico as a family along with my sister Candace and her family and Nana and Papa Cooper.

We actually met the "Real Santa Claus" in the airport as we were leaving for Mexico.

We went snorkling, swimming, played on the beach and drank lots of smoothies by the pool .

    The kids painted...

Papa Cooper joined us for a trip to see the Mayan ruins in Chichen Itza...

And, we celebrated Nana and Papa's 39th Wedding Anniversary together while we were there.

It's been a busy and fun two months!  I have so many pictures.  I'll be scrapbooking for months!!!!

  • Easter Sunday Best!

Ready for dinner-  It's the kids table!

  • Thank you Easter Bunny!

Patiently waiting to look for their Easter baskets...

    They looked high and low

  • Decorating Easter Eggs

I found this cool little contraption at Wal-mart so
we colored eggs a little differently this year.
You add a hard boiled egg, a few drops of
color, put the lid on and then pop the top and the
egg rolls around in the color and then comes
out all speckly and tye-dyed looking.  We loved
it and and made some pretty eggs.  I loved it because
it was super easy to clean up!

  • Tyler's field trip to the zoo.

Tyler and I had a super great time with all
the kindergartners at the Fort Worth Zoo!

  • March

Natalie's celebrated her birthday (two days early) at
The Rain Forest Cafe where they sang Happy Birthday to her.
    She loved it!

We served her breakfast in bed the morning of her birthday. She wasn't too thrilled
because they were having testing at school that day.

It ended up well.  We had the neighbors over to share cookie cake
    and sing Happy Birthday.

Then I took Natalie and our neighbor Jennie (whose birthday was the next day)
to see the Jonas Brothers 3-D Concert Movie.  They had a blast!!!!  You'd
think they were really at the concert.  There were only a few other people there so
I let them stand up and dance.

Natalie and her good friend Jill made up a dance to the
Salena Gomez song"Tell Me Something I Don't Know!"
They practiced for a month and did a fantastic job.

After the show, we all went out for ice cream at Braums.

Rob took a dip in our freezing cold pool and became a member of the
polar bear club.  I don't think I have the right to tell you why he had
to do this. You will have to ask him about it but I can't guarantee he
will tell you anything.  He did say it was quite exhilarating though.

Our cute little cousin, Cambria, came for a quick visit.  My kids
    just adore her.

Tyler played his first t-ball games on his team - the Detroit Tigers.
He loves it and there is nothing
cuter than a little boy in a major league baseball
uniform or all dressed up in catcher gear for that matter.

Natalie is back playing Softball for the "Firecrackers".  In Georgia, all the girls had nicknames,
so when they asked us what name we wanted on her shirt, we told them "Sparky".  When
they passed out the girls uniforms, none of the other girls had nicknames.  At first, Natalie
was mortified that she was the only one, but I told her that maybe she would start a trend and
she decided that would be cool.  Come to find out, all of the older girls have nicknames, and
then, of course, Natalie was very proud to have her nickname on her shirt.  Go Sparky!!!

Tyler plays hard and will drop anywhere if he is tired.
This is where I found him one day.  I guess he couldn't make
it one more step, stair step that is...

The kids had open house at school.  The teachers
had all of their rooms decked out with all of the
projects the kids have been working on.  I really love this
    school!

Here is Tyler with the transportation "quilt" his class
made.  I actually put this together for his teacher.  Volunteering
in Tyler's classroom is the highlight of my week.  He had the
most outstanding teacher and it makes me want to be a kindergarten
    teacher myself.

The third graders did a live inventors museum.  All you had
to do was push the green button to learn all about the historical person
the student was representing.  Natalie was Thomas Edison, the inventor
    of the light bulb.

Eric had many of his projects to display including a representation of his
    brother Tyler.

Spring Break was spent in Clovis, New Mexico at Legacy Dairy, Grandpa's dairy
visiting Jered's family.  The kids had fun riding Jered's dune buggy and the mule
all over the dairy and farm land.

We also checked out the Clovis zoo.  It is small but really cool because the animals are so close.  Our cousin, Erin,
from Arizona also joined us for the fun and she and Natalie really bonded and became good friends.

It was a cushy ride home in Grandma and Grandpa's nice van
watching movies all the way to Stephenville.

When we got back to Stephenville,  Aunt Becca gave all the kids rides on
her fun four wheeler.    Grandma also saddled the horses up but I guess I didn't
    get any pictures of that.

    Valentine's Parties!

The kids had fun at their class Valentine's parties.

Check our Natalie's classroom!  One of the mom's
came in the night before and really
    did an outstanding job decorating!

and Rob and I had fun at a friend's house for a couples party.  Rob also took the kids
to the BYU basketball game against TCU,
but didn't take the camera so I don't have any pictures.  They had a lot of fun though
and I'm sure that will become a tradition
that I'll have to join in on.  Someone needs to take the pictures...

Eric also started Lacrosse after Rob started a Lacrosse league in Colleyville.
He loves it and Rob loves coaching the team.  The first few games were
played on freezing cold and windy days.  These kids are tough!

The Many Treasures in My Life!

....

My Husband Rob

Rob is my best friend in the whole world. He is my rock and takes care of me in every way. He is a hardworking and caring father who is committed to his family. He is constantly working to make me happy and have fun with me and my kids. He is one of the hardest working, most organized people I've ever know.

Eric

Eric is an energetic eleven year old who is constantly on the go. He enjoys sports in every way and lives life to the fullest. He is a good friend to everyone he meets as he is very social and enjoys people.

Natalie

Natalie is my princess. She is a beautiful little girl with a very tender heart. She would never dream of hurting anyone intentionally. Natalie is all girl. She enjoys school, reading dressing up, playing with dolls, music, crafts and playing sports.

Tyler

Tyler is such a fun little kid. He is always smiling and loves life. Everyone seems to enjoy being with Tyler because he is always so happy. He loves school, playing outside, super heroes and being with Mom, Dad and his big brother and sister.

My Testimony

I am member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know God lives and that he loves me. I also know that Jesus Christ lives, that he is our Savior and that he has done everything in his power to help us return to our Father in Heaven. I am more grateful for this knowledge than for anything else in this world. I know the Book of Mormon, along with the Bible is the word of God and that our Heavenly Father leads us through the direction of his prophet here on the earth at this time.

My parents

My mom and dad are extraordinary people! They've been faithful and stalwart in many tough situations and I appreciate their testimonies and examples. My dad, like me, is a cancer survivor. His and my mom's positive examples have always helped me get through some of the hardes times of my life. I really love them both.

My health!

Believe it or not, I am a cancer survivor! I was diagnosed with colon cancer at the young age of 35 and had to go through nine months of chemotherapy. My friendships were strenghthened by this experience and I made many new friends. I will never be grateful for cancer but I will always be grateful for the things I learned because of it. One of the things I personally believe is that God does not give us trials, but rather he allows us to have trials so that we can grow from our experience.

About me:

I love my family, my friends and learning. I enjoy reading (especially historical fiction), cooking, cleaning (crazy but true), hanging out with my kids, and being outside. Many people don't know this but I love to hike and camp. I play the piano and sing and love music. I sincerely appreciate others talents and constantly marvel at the creativity of others.

I love to read!!!!

I finally finished "If Life Were Easy, It Wouldn't Be Hard" by Sheri Dew. It is fantastic and one that I will read over and over. Right now, I'm re-reading "Mary, Queen of France" by Jean Plaidy. She is one of my favorite authors and since I'm hosting book club in January, I thought this would be a great time to share not only this book that I love but introduce this awesome author to anyone who might not already know about her. She writes historical novels about women in history. She is very refreshing and positive! I love her books.
